As part of their commitment to the environment the Hospital also reduced its energy consumption through the installation of energy efficient lighting and voltage optimisation for its air conditioning units.
The installation of a Smart cool system across two screw chillers and an additional five APAC package unit s has achieved a reduction in kWh energy consumption of the chillers by 16%, with a reduction of 18% achieved on package units. There has been no effect on the internal ambient temperatures following installation.
Northquest, through an asset rental solution, funded 100% of the costs of equipment supply and installation, delivered at a lower cost than the client’s current funding. The opex repayments were less than the cost savings allowing an immediate net benefit to the client .
